Mahiti was very clear about what she wanted. She thanked her father to let her follow her heart and promised him that she wouldn’t disgrace him ever. Mahiti’s father felt sad that his little darling daughter had decided to stay as a servant in Ravana’s palace, but he knew that she would be happy there. He now understood the reason for Mahiti’s distress over the last few weeks. Everything fell into place that moment for him. Her little princess was all grown up now. He was proud that Mahiti earned what she wanted in her own unique way. But he was sad that Mahiti’s heart was shattered. Only he knew it other than Mahiti herself!

 Mahiti was happy. She achieved a few things she had not even dreamt of till then! She met Ravana, eye to eye, up so close that she could have touched him! She felt bad that she missed a chance to embrace her love. But she was happy that she was now at Ravana’s palace. Closer to where his heart wanted to settle, closer to Sita.

 Mahiti knew that the king would visit Sita every day without fail. That was love! Being closer to Sita all the time, Mahiti could see Ravana too, every single day. That was love, much deeper! While Ravana demanded Sita’s consent, Mahiti didn’t even expect Ravana to even realize her love for him.
