Is Ravan a hero or a villain, in all aspects? I think he is a hero. - Quora

He didn’t give a damn about right or wrong as long as his family was alive. Regretfully, he made the incorrect decision in an attempt to make money. This youngster lost the one he loved so much in a terribly horrible way, even though he had loved her since he was a little child and had loved her ever since. He became the world’s most merciless person as a result. He turned against the whole of Sapt Sindhu. Our villain was born in this manner.

Rama Setu (Adam’s Bridge) in Rameshwaram:

Rishi Vishrava and his first wife Kaikesi gave birth to Raavan. Their kid was also Kumbhkarna. The Greek princess Crataeis and the sage Vishrava were the parents of Vibhisan and Surpankha. (All of these were Rishi Vishrava and Kaikesi’s children in the original Ramayana.)

Raavan was a naga

Raavan was a naga and the oldest child. He had an abdominal deformity. His stomach bled in the past. He always covered it with fabric since his parents did not want this to be known to the public. When he was about four years old, the Virgin Goddess Kanyakumari paid a visit to Rishi Vishrava’s ashram. (It was thought that the body of a select group of young girls contained the mother goddess. The girl’s soul moved into the body of another young girl when she reached puberty.)

Since he was little, Raavan has been harsh. From a very young age, he conducted extensive scientific studies on animals. His father was a naga, so they did not have a nice relationship. Upon Kanyakumari’s visit to the ashram, she motivated him to improve, or at the very least, strive for improvement above his current state. He fell in love with that girl right then and there. (Later on, we’ll learn that Raavan’s love for this girl turned him into the story’s villain.)

Rishi Vishrava

Kumbhkarna was originally a naga as well. If it found out that the child was a naga, Rishi Vishrava had given the command to murder him. After securing the infant’s safety, Raavan and his maternal uncle Maarech left the city with Kaikesi. Raavan, Mareech, Kaikesi, and baby Kumbhakarna made their way to Kannauj. Due to Naga’s birth, Mareech and Kaikesi’s parents forbade them from remaining in Kannauj, even if they were native there.

They then made the decision to visit Vaidyanath, or the Kanyakumari temple. There was no prejudice against nagas in Vaidyanath. Raavan discovered that the Kanyakumari he had adored had been replaced with a new one when they arrived at the temple.

Raavan made the decision to go to a town close to Chillika Lake since he had heard that the lake offered excellent trading opportunities. In no time at all, Raavan excelled as a dealer in the region.

Vishwamitra once went to a shrine beside the Chillika Lake. Raavan’s mother went to see him and asked that Kumbhkarna and Raavan’s abnormalities be cured. Without that remedy, they would have perished within a few years. Vishwamitra pledged to heal her. The Malayaputras were a tribe that Lord Parshu Ram (the sixth Vishnu) left behind. Vishwamitra led them. The Malayaputra commander had the responsibility of selecting the next Vishnu. Vishwamitra chose to make Raavan the antagonist of the tale because he intended to do this duty during his lifetime.

Only heroes emerge when there is a villain to save the world from the horrors the villain does. (Yes, Rishi Vishwamitra had a plan for it all.) She was assured by Vishwamitra that he would continue to provide the treatment, which they must take to stay well for the rest of their lives.
