Shooter Sarabjot Singh who made India proud at Paris Olympics 2024 by winning a bronze medal with Manu Bhaker in the 10m air pistol mixed team event is set for a mega prize money and government job. Sarabjot and Manu clinched India’s second medal in the Paris Olympics 2024 by beating Republic of Korea’s Oh Ye Jin and Wonho Lee 16-10 in the bronze medal match.
Sarabjot, who hails from Ambala in Haryana, is set to receive a Rs 2.50 crore cash reward and a job from the state government.
“The role of the family is appreciable, and we are hopeful that Sarabjot will continue to win more medals for the country in the future too. As per the sports policy, he will get Rs 2.50 crore cash reward and a government job,” Haryana Minister of State for Sports Sanjay Singh told The Tribune.
The 22-year-old shooter who returned to India on Thursday was felicitated by Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi along with five shooters after returning to the country.
Sarabjot was awarded a cheque of Rs 22.5 lakh by Mandaviya as part of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports’ cash award scheme.
Bronze medallist Sarabjot has been a Khelo India scholarship athlete since 2019. Arjun Cheema, Rhythm Sangwan, Arjun Babuta, and Ramita have also benefited from the scheme, transitioning to the Target Olympic Podium Scheme.

ಹರಿಯಾಣದ ಅಂಬಾಲಾ ಮೂಲದ ಸರಬ್ಜೋತ್ ಅವರು 2.50 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಉದ್ಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಲು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕಂಚಿನ ಪದಕ ವಿಜೇತ ಸರಬ್ಜೋತ್ ಅವರು 2019 ರಿಂದ ಖೇಲೋ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಸ್ಕಾಲರ್‌ಶಿಪ್ ಅಥ್ಲೀಟ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅರ್ಜುನ್ ಚೀಮಾ, ರಿದಮ್ ಸಾಂಗ್ವಾನ್, ಅರ್ಜುನ್ ಬಾಬುತಾ ಮತ್ತು ರಮಿತಾ ಅವರು ಟಾರ್ಗೆಟ್ ಒಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ ಪೋಡಿಯಂ ಸ್ಕೀಮ್‌ಗೆ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
